Getting new people into sailing
saiLondon is currently composed of BTYC and Seashores sailing clubs located on the Welsh Harp reservoir in North London. The saiLondon initiative is designed to pool resource and knowledge to bring new people into sailing within the London area. We have a RYA training centre at the Harp able to provide training and sailing qualifications at many different levels. Boats you will see saiLondon use on the water are:
GP 14- two handed racing dinghy designed by the legendary Jack Holt- three sails including a spinnaker
Windsurf Board- surf board with a sail on, fast, exciting, wet
Laser- Olympic class one design racing dinghy, the UK has won numerous Olympic medals in this class
Pico- A training and racing boat, very sympathetic, good for older children, teenagers
Optimist- The boat most sailors start in as children, very stable, square, fun
